FROM BRUSH TO NIGHTMARE

Sculpting my latest facehugger

NO DIALOGUE. NO DISTRACTIONS. JUST PURE PROCESS.

This video captures the raw, focused energy of bringing a creature to life through digital sculpting. The subject? A Facehugger—one of the most iconic creatures from Alien—reborn from digital clay.

Using ZBrush, a powerful software widely used in the film, game, and collectibles industries, I sculpt freehand, letting form and texture emerge organically. ZBrush is known for its ability to mimic traditional sculpting techniques in a digital space, giving artists like me the freedom to chase instinct and detail without boundaries. Every ridge, every tendon, every creepy little finger of the creature comes to life under the stylus—no templates, just raw imagination.

After sculpting, I’ll move on to painting the piece by hand—because for me, the story isn’t finished until the texture has a soul. If you’re curious about the silent rhythm behind the work—or just want to watch a monster take shape—this one’s for you.
